The week of the recital, we have an extra practice on stage in order for everyone to be prepared for the big day!  Please make sure to be at practice so that you don’t miss anything important!  At stage rehearsal, dancers will have the chance to see what it's like backstage, practice where they stand on stage for their formation, practice getting on and off the stage, as well as do their dance one or two times.  Stage rehearsals are also very important for the technical crew at the auditorium to make sure lighting, backdrops, sound, and cues are all set for the next day.  There's so many details that go into a 2 mintue dance that we must make sure are set before the final performance!

Above all else, stage rehearsal is for the dancers to build confidence and set their minds at ease before performing. For many dancers, new and old alike, the thought of performing can create nerves or jitters.  By experiencing the lights, music, and view from the stage without the extra pressure of costumes and a large audience, dancers are able to gain the extra push of confidence they may need before the actual recital.

Stage rehearsals will take place on Saturday, May 3rd for all dancers at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium.  Please use the front doors that face Pine Street to enter the auditorium.

Dancers need to arrive at least 15 minutes before their stage time in order for us to stay on schedule.  Once a dancer is finished with all of their dances and finale practice, they are free to leave.

​

Please wear dance costumes, correct shoes, and stage make-up.  If you have multiple costumes, you will practice changing in the dressing rooms of Memorial Auditorium.

Stage rehearsal is mandatory for all dancers performing in the recital.
